• Purchasing Tickets:
  Tickets to all events can be purchased by walk-in, phone 217.356.9063, or online by clicking here. Note: The Virginia Theatre does not take ticket orders or reservations by e-mail or fax.
• Types of payments accepted:

• Ticket Prices:

  The cost of employing box office staff, maintaining a website, and the necessary equipment for those services are part of the Virginia Theatre’s normal operating expenses and part of the Champaign Park District budget and any profits from Virginia Theatre produced shows. Show ticket prices are based on the total amount of tickets we can sell to any given event, how many tickets are actually sold to our events, processing fees (ticket software, credit card fees, etc.) and the wishes of the producers of non-Virginia Theatre events. $1 of every ticket goes to the Virginia Theatre's restoration fund.

• No refunds or exchanges.
• Phone order tickets will be left at the Will-Call window or for a flat fee of $1.25 your tickets can be mailed to you.

• WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
  The Virginia Theatre is wheelchair accessible and has handicap parking to the west of the theatre entrance. Within the theatre, limited front-row wheelchair seating is available for sale. Please inform the box office if anyone in your party requires wheelchair seating when ordering tickets.
  The Virginia Theatre is a two-story building, and does not have wheelchair accessibility to the balcony and mezzanine level seating.
  

• ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES

  Assisted listening devices are available upon request at the Virginia Theatre. A single earpiece bud, ear speaker, or neck loop may be used by a patron to help enhance their enjoyment of the performance. Devices may be obtained at the box office before the show, and a personal credit card or driver’s license will be held by the theatre staff until the device is returned at the completion of the performance.

• AUDIO DESCRIPTION

  Audio Description involves the accessibility of the visual images of theater and other art forms for people who are blind or visually impaired. It is a narration service that attempts to describe what the sighted person takes for granted -- those theatrical images that a person who is blind or has low vision formerly could only experience through the whispered asides from a sighted companion.

  In theaters, in museums, and accompanying film and video presentations, Audio Description is commentary and narration which guides the listener through the presentation with concise, objective descriptions of new scenes, settings, costumes, body language, and "sight gags," all slipped in between portions of dialogue or songs. Found to be not only a significant technique for making the arts more accessible for an important but underserved constituency, Audio Description can be viewed as an aesthetic advance for the visual and performing arts.

Seating Information

• Type of seating for events will vary (reserved or general admission).
• The Virginia Theatre offers easy access seating for those patrons with special needs.
• Special access seating is available in Main Floor Section 2 (Rows A & B) Special access seating is available for most performances in Section 3 (Row R) One companion seat is available with each single, special access seat purchased.
• Special seating requests by visually or hearing impaired patrons can easily be accommodated. One to two weeks advance notice is appreciated.
