1. Who now owns the Virginia
Theatre?
The Champaign Park District acquired the Virginia Theatre on
January 4, 2000 and manages the entire operation of the theatre.
2. Are the CUTC offices still
located at the theatre?
No, the CUTC does not maintain an office at the Virginia. Any
questions regarding subscriptions, donations to the theatre
group, and auditions can be directed to 355-3636 or write to
them at PO Box 6104, Champaign, IL 61826.
3. What is happening with the
renovation at the Virginia?
Throughout the following months, we are performing renovations
to the Theatre. The addition of a women's restroom in the lower
level, handicapped accessible restrooms on the main floor, upgrading
the HVAC, expanding the east lobby, and making roof repairs
are just a few improvements that have been completed.
4. Are there plans to do more
renovations in the future?
Yes, there is still a lot of work to be completed.
5. How can I find out about
volunteer opportunities at the Virginia?
